Producer (Infrastructure Development)

Join us in our journey towards unmatched stability and swift feature delivery as our newest team member in the role of Producer. As a Producer, you will guide the operations of our Infrastructure Development (InfraDev) team with a keen focus on project management and fine-tuning of our processes. Collaborating closely with your Technical Director, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the team's vision and essential projects coming up. With this insight, you'll take charge of crafting and maintaining the InfraDev roadmap of committed work for the next month and through the following 12 months . To achieve this, you will also own the process of capacity planning for the InfraDev team, ensuring that we can confidently commit to work in the upcoming quarters and that each engineer's efforts are in sync with these plans, contributing to our collective goals.

Projects That Might Excite You

• Organizing, decluttering, and clarifying bodies of work with varying levels of detail and timelines.
• Structuring project work in a way that can be easily followed from high level multi-quarter feature definition down to individual user stories that support the implementation of that delivery.
• Scrum is great; kanban is useful too! Help us further define how we should leverage both methodologies for different categories of work.
• Coordinating with our community team to help champion, setup, and own how we communicate the health of our platform and ongoing incidents (StatusPage, OpsGenie, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead, own, and coordinate project management activities within the InfraDev team.
• Oversee the development of a capacity plan to manage team workload efficiently over the span of multiple quarters.
• Create a detailed visual roadmap highlighting future projects and objectives.
• Promote and manage the concept of the InfraDev team as a product.
• Champion and streamline the onboarding process for integrating new games with our 24x7 monitoring teams.
• Ensure effective communication within the team and with external parties, as the primary point of contact people go to when wondering what our roadmap looks like and if we can support additional work.
• You should feel comfortable presenting team roadmaps to leadership and also able to clearly detail new work in a way that is easy for engineers to digest.
• Actively contribute to the improvement and maintenance of internal documentation.

Required Skills

• 3 years of experience in project management within technical / engineering sectors.
• 2 years of experience specifically in cloud based SaaS / live-service platforms.
• Proactive approach to identifying and solving process inefficiencies paired with an eagerness to take ownership over processes where needed.
• Expert in Atlassian Jira, especially in creating new dashboards, rich filters, and planning boards that allow for quick visualization of on-going and upcoming work.
• Proficient in agile methodologies, with professional experience in Scrum/Kanban.
• Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.

Desired Bonus

• Previous experience working with DevOps/SRE/Cloud Engineering teams
• Conversational understanding of AWS technologies
